Artist's Statement :

Nature has been my solace for as long as I can remember. Through my art process I’m trying to recreate the same sense of comfort that being close to nature brought me in the formative years of my life.
I want my artworks to blend effortlessly into their surrounding environment, so much so that it is difficult to distinguish whether or not my work is an extension of nature itself.
Looking back, I think that wherever I have been throughout my life, nature has been my one constant companion. Being away from home almost all my life has been so much easier because of the same. Somehow though, as I got older, material things came into the forefront of my life and I did not have any appreciation left in me for a very real world outside.
My art is my trial at bridging the gap that has surfaced. The process of making my pieces is very personal and therapeutic since I am replicating the very thing that brings me most comfort.
I am still fairly new to the whole process and am figuring things out along my way. I just hope that when other people look at my works, they become aware of a newfound appreciation towards nature.
With everything that is going on in the world, I feel that more than ever, there’s a need for us to sit quietly among our trees and look at the world through a new child-like fascination in our eyes.
