Art practice out of my studio and adopting resources from my immediate surroundings has constantly boosted me up as my inspiration. Often my art works are executed and done with a very casual and spontaneous fashion. I am comfortable with expressing the visual approach in such a way as if no direct or said purpose, content should be portrayed simply, rather a mysterious presentation, indirect and chaotic but sensuous pattern is followed by loads of colour, texture, scratches and overlapping. My works are thus overlapping of several layers which is a metaphor of how I experience the natural and man-made system and their layers of history .I use to develop my art work using multiple layers of thick colors and mature it up with covering the work again and again to give an effect as if the finished work has been covered with layers of brush patches and color dabs. I have seen and have been associated with the early landscape and construction around and on the outskirts of Santiniketan and at the same time I am experiencing the newer transformation of the said locality from very close. This is which very spontaneously inspired and forced me to interpret and include those in my art activities and process where I am very much comfortable personally. My experience of construction and deconstruction of small shops & tea shops around Santiniketan, plantation and deforestation, a sudden shift towards urbanization all puts a very remarkable impact on my thought process as well as art practice and of making art work. To be very brief, the social and psychological issues which leads several contemporary aspects remains my core interest. A typical taste of costumes, popular culture around market place gatherings coming from various communities stands a powerful resource for me. Various local festivals followed by street performances with DJ music boxes, buying lottery tickets from street side hawkers , winning a cash prize and their typical outfits all are simply strong issues which I tried to portray in my art expression. From a distance all seems very stress free and nonsense kind of things which I have tried to portray in my works. Today things are more fragile/fragmented, big families are broken into micro families, nature is transforming into urban look, and Mother Nature is continuously exploited and so on. Santiniketan landscape has changed drastically, the barbed wire spiral fencing and the construction of multiple concrete walls have changed the local vista. The local communities whom I interviewed has expressed their early attachment with this landscape. I realized this public interpretation and the administrative area and its social impact is no doubt a very contemporary issue which I felt could more or less be compare with the Line of Control (LOC) and its impact towards public. I then started viewing the landscape from a bird’s eye view to get a drone vision used by police/ army to regulate social unrest inspiring from the public interpretation. This is all from the top /bird’s eye view I can access an angle when I discover the adjacent village areas of Santiniketan and the burning of straws in the paddy fields as well. So, various issues of my surrounding are juxtaposed, overlapped in my way of interpreting,

Interacting that may seem like a chaos to some extent; but to me these multiple happenings form various patterns which allows to create a profound diversity. All these happenings of my diverse surrounding add on as important sources and rendering of my art practices as well.
