Landscape is a cultural construction but land is a geographical phenomenon. My landscape is constructed with local narrations, architectural patterns, organic and urban gestures, language, media, government etc. I am trying to connect the organic patterns (natural motifs) with contemporary signs .As we go closer to anything, to find a textural identities. I start from close up of textural patterns and then try to construct a crowd out of those patterns .A transformation happens here, a lot of individual patterns unitedly create a visual homogeneity. I had a different accent and vocabulary (mostly of Bhojpuri). Santiniketan is a cultural vortex for me. I went on adapting things pertinent to language (Hum-Mai), gestures etc. Basically it is a physical transformation.
Tempera is a process of layering. The topmost layer depends upon what under layer is. And object, when placed within an ambience, also adapt some features of that place and the peripheral objects also adapts from central objects. So it is a both way process. Tempera also behave like that. I merge boundaries of any form since forms adapts from surrounded forms, like an engagement.
I believe in shifting nature and change but a sustainable change. Banaras is an old city. In the name of restoration, the government is suppressing the nature of those architectures. This is nothing but a cultural hierarchy
Global market always tries to polarise things to one end. Creams for beauty enhancement tries to create same flatness.

Francisco Clemente once said that he believes in cultural impurities. The concept of ideal man is a purity, global market wish to gain. I am trying to acquire some individual experience out of these things, as in various films i try to put my gesture narration - a juxtaposition to reconstruct an individual story. We live in an infinite global market. I am trying to create an individual trace here.
