I have explored and nurtured different types of medium and techniques of printmaking. Through the course of time I started to enjoy woodcut a bit more, gradually during the last 2 years I practiced and experimented with woodcut and etching . Side by side along with the love for woodcut, I have also been enjoying and experimenting natural leaf print which involves the process of collecting fallen specific usable leaves and flowers without harming them. All of the process and techniques started from the collection of materials and printing procedures which involved printing chemicals are all documented thoroughly.
During these 4 years I felt a strong attraction towards the season change in Shantiniketan. Those elements that can be seen and felt during that time is what I wanted to preseve as my memory of that time and place. Instead of drawing and painting, I went out and enjoyed collecting different types of fallen leaves, and then represented them in various works through printing techniques. Sometimes I enjoyed extracting natural colour from them also. And as e result of working with these type of natural mediums and techniques led me to decide my core ideation and subject for my work. My latest works are the representation of my connection with plants, animals and my surroundings, season change, which mostly denotes different kinds of stories and memories attached with them.
Along with my works my perception of this system of how nature works is like a mother who's ready to offer her unconditional and gentle affection towards us and I just want to cherish that precious moments.
