Artist's Statement :

I believe that working on a concept definitely helps me create an image/ work but providing a concept note creates a path that becomes forceful to the viewer resulting in only perceiving the work through the eye of the maker/creator leading to giving up one's own will of viewing.
My work usually reflects my surroundings, being an introvert I have had trouble communicating my true emotions, I usually overthink resulting in not speaking my mind. To quote bell hooks, “Knowing how to be solitary is central to the art of loving. When we can be alone, we can be with others without using them as a means of escape.” I have tried to practice solitude and in doing so, I’ve found a way to speak my mind through my works using elements as metaphors to certain objects, emotions or places.
New mediums, works, behind the scene and process of fellow artists in and around the world intrigues me and makes me curious. I have had the opportunity to get a hold of a few of the materials, learn a few mediums and experiment with the possibility of what could be next resulting in a few physical works and a couple of stop-motion videos.
