Artist's Statement :

Humans are emotional beings. Emotions can be overwhelming and can warp our judgment, it is also fleeting in nature,an emotion is many things at once, it is a constant state of conflict. Through my work I want to comment on the emotional nature of human beings, how our thoughts, experiences and inner conflicts clash against each other and also help us unite and form connections. I like to observe nature around me, mainly insects and wild plants because they remind me of the human mind, fragile and complex, through their movements and the various things they have to do in their short span of life to survive. In my compositions I draw insects, plants, landscapes from my surrounding environment, some from memory, some studies, sometimes I exaggerate their shapes and forms or mix their physical features so that they resemble the chaotic nature of emotions and find synchronicity with nature.
